I'm Fighting for HCMC!Have you seen the buttons? Ths is the rallying cry of the Save HCMC Coalition, which is a non-partisan organization composed of HCMC patients, employees, volunteers, and community stake holders. Their long-term goal is to create a state leadership that values HCMC's mission. The short-term goal is to recover some of the GAMC funding cuts in state budget proposals that will hurt HCMC patient care and the larger community. The coalition welcomes all the help it can get. It is extremely well organized and is especially welcoming of the "15 Minute Activist". The "15 Minute Activist" is simply asked to call his or her legislator and tell them about the concerns regarding HCMC. The even supply the name and phone number of the legislator to be called and give you a couple of ideas of what to say.
